Lok Sabha Polls 2019 : Celebrating the Indian Democracy
This post is created so as to share the most amazing news which shows the power of Indian democracy during the election season
- Narendra Modi appeals to Opposition leaders for voter participation
Such a thing can happen only in a democratic nation only and then like a true democratic nation, it lead to a war of words with oppositions leaders saying BJP needs help of Mahagathbandhan for this task.
2. Oldest voters of the country
Sumitra Rai came on wheel chair to vote!!! An inspiration to the young ones who keep complaining on social media but will not step out of their homes to vote for their country.
3. People with injuries and health issues also did not miss out to vote
Now this is from Facebook so can’t verify the authenticity, however we can see this is from Maharashtra. The post read that he is Vishawas Kulkarni, a senior citizen who met with an accident but still decided to cast his vote .
4. Senior citizens also stood in queues
5. Getting married is no reason to skip voting
6. Some special voters who will remain joined for life yet voted individually
8. There were special arrangements to encourage voters to exercise thier rights in the summers
9. EVM-VVPAT tally was completely correct
The EVM data and VVPAT slip for more than 20k machines were counted, matched and confirmed. It proved that there was no such EVM tampering as alleged by several opposing parties.
These people took the pain to vote. They wanted a good Government for their country. I also traveled to vote.
EC had set up more than 10 Lakh booths for 900 million eligible voters! Pre-checks, post checks for all EVMS, inking, VVPAT and several such measures. Please don’t belittle efforts of organizers as well as voters by supporting stories that everything was rigged only because chosen party/candidate didn’t make it.
10. After the results were announced…
This man cried on national television. Several political parties mocked ( Bhakts) & trolled them ( Axis My India – IndiaToday ). Their only crime was that their Exit poll prediction showed that NDA will get (336-365) seats while others predicted lesser.
After results were announced and they were inline with what his agency’s survey had predicted, he couldn’t contain his emotion! One can imagine the pressure he was under and the relief he would have felt on the counting day for being vindicated of false charges 🙁
